What is Vote/Solve

Vote/Solve is a website application that allows registered members to share votes and suggestions on important steps in problem solving.

50% vote, 50% solve

The website application Vote/Solve consists of two major features: the ability to create posts in the type of (category, problem, solution and action) and then voting on those public posts to raise awareness. The higher the upvote to downvote ratio, the higher the category ranks on the exploration page. This process allows everyone to come together in discovering which problems matter the most, which solutions make the most sense, and which actions could have the most impact in solving.

Categories

We start by creating a container to organize our problems by categorizing them. Things like Global Warming, World Hunger, War are suitable containers. However, you could create Science, Food Security / Agriculture, Geopolitical Instability as categories, too. Other users will vote on your Category, which changes the rank.

Problems

Click on a Category: You can now vote and contribute Problems related to the specific Category. For example, a problem for the Category "World Hunger" would be: Inefficient Logistics. The description could be: "Food spoils before we get it where it's needed". And then other users will vote on that Problem Post.

Solutions

Once you find a Problem, you can view it's list of Solutions. The Solutions basically work the same way: you contribute your own Solution Posts to a specific problem and then everyone votes on the Solutions. Solutions to specific problems are also ranked by votes.

Actions

Actions are listed under a specific Solution. These are user contributed Actions that can be taken to fulfill a Solution, which in turn solves the Problem. Actions are also ranked by votes and you can contribute your own Action to a specific Solution.

Creating Posts

You are able to access Posts that you contribute via the My Profile page.
